Safety tips for caregivers to make the entire dining process safer!

Don't talk
Keep the environment quiet while eating, avoid distracting the patient, and avoid talking to the patient while eating.

Sit up straight
Ask the patient to sit upright with the head slightly forward, at the same height as the elderly, so that the swallowing progress can be observed.

Fine mouth
Pay attention to the amount of food and liquid in each mouthful, and don't drink too much.

Eat slowly
Swallow all food in mouth before feeding another bite, and pause between each bite.

No urging
When eating, avoid rushing the patient to avoid causing psychological pressure.

Quick Clean
Maintain posture for 30 minutes after eating and clean your mouth to reduce the risk of pneumonia caused by accidental inhalation of food and saliva.
